Isabel has stepped up for duty for the oceans numerous times, including raising international awareness by attempting to stop annual slaughter of dolphins in Taiji, Japan in 2007.

In what could be a sign of record-breaking success to come, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” has already proven to be a hit. The film pulled in a record-breaking $16 million in its midnight showings on Wednesday. What does this prove? At the end of the day, nobody could give a damn what the reviewers have to say about it…they just want to go see Megan Fox look hot.

(Not to mention Isabel Lucas, who’s shaping up to be the film’s break-out star. Two ridiculously hot women for the price of one movie ticket? Yeah, who cares what the reviews say.)

While the numbers for “Transformers’” midnight showings are staggering, they still place second to “The Dark Knight,” which brought in $18.5 million with its own midnight showings. However, that was on a Friday. “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” now holds the record for a Wednesday midnight showings box-office.

The question now is whether or not poor word of mouth will hurt “Transformers” at the box office, or whether or not audiences will continue to fill theaters no matter what their friends tell them. Clearly, the terrible reviews that the film’s been getting haven’t been able to squash anyone’s excitement over seeing the film. Also clear is that people simply can’t get enough of Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf onscreen together, and it may not matter very much what they’re doing when they’re on it.

On the other hand, “The Dark Knight” had some serious critical acclaim when it opened, which no doubt helped get people to the movies. Without that, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” might start out with a bang, but end with a box-office whimper. We’ll have to wait until Monday when the official opening weekend numbers are in. We’re sure somewhere Michael Bay is keeping his fingers crossed.
