A couple of sites are mentioning that Isabel has been cast in the Greek-myth inspired Dawn Of War. As one of the confirmed cast has named her directly, her involvement seems quite likely, but as always, we’ll look out for official confirmation and any further news will of course be posted about here for you!

‘Clash Of The Titans’ Star Goes Greek Again With ‘Dawn Of War’
With “Clash of the Titans” landing in theaters Friday, we hopped on the phone with fast-rising British heartthrob Luke Evans, who called in from the Montreal set of the soon-to-shoot film “Dawn of War.” He was eager to talk about the next big Greek-myth-inspired blockbuster and reveal the two newest actors to join the cast.

“We have the very beautiful Isabel Lucas who is playing Athena, my daughter,” explained Evans, who stars in the film as Zeus. “She is stunning. And John Hurt plays me as an old man. I mean, does it get any better than that? That’s uber-cool!” he beamed. “In addition, we have Mickey Rourke, Stephen Dorff, Henry Cavill, Freida Pinto.”

The “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” hottie and respected “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” veteran are the latest in a long line of impressive stars to join the high-profile flick, which has flirted with various names (“God of War,” “War of the Gods”) but rarely been questioned in terms of its potential brilliance.

” ‘Dawn of War’ really plays on the human side of the battle, whereas there are so many monsters in ‘Clash of the Titans.’ This film really is very strongly based on Earth, I would say, and it is about the human battle,” Evans said of the difference between his two Greek-mythology films. “The gods have a very strong presence in ‘Dawn of War,’ and it’s a much bigger action film; this is way more action.”

In “Titans,” Evans plays Apollo and Liam Neeson is Zeus — for “Dawn of War,” Evans gets to play the king of the gods, while Canadian actor Corey Sevier steps in as Apollo. The actor said the Zeus in this film is much more physical, and thereby exciting for him.

“We’ve been training for nearly two months for these huge battle scenes, huge fights,” Evans explained. “Whereas the gods in ‘Clash of the Titans’ do very little but stay in Mount Olympus, in ‘God of War’ they are hands-on — especially Zeus. I’ve had training in every weapon you could imagine a god using.”

But wait a minute — doesn’t Zeus just usually hang out in the clouds, shooting lightning bolts at anyone who gets in his way? “That’s the traditional Zeus,” Evans agreed. “But in this one, he gets some gory weapons and gets to do some superhuman things — godlike things — with them. As only Zeus, king of the gods, could do.”

Evans said that all the male actors have been spending considerable time getting themselves in “300″-like shape that should look good for the shirtless scenes, and that Kellan Lutz fans will be glad to know that his Poseidon takes place before the god of the sea weds the sea goddess Amphitrite. “Poseidon is single in this film, which the ‘Twilight’ girls will love,” the actor explained. “He’s a swinging, swimming single.”

But even with all the stars, anticipation and momentum fueling the film (which Evans says, shockingly, has no current plans to open in 3-D), the main reasons cinephiles are excited about “Dawn of War” can be summed up in one word: Tarsem.

“What’s great about [director] Tarsem [Singh] is you only have to spend 10 minutes in his company to know the man is a visionary and a genius,” Evans said of the stunning visualist, whose previous efforts include “The Cell” and “The Fall,” but has never attempted an action blockbuster until now. “If you know his work, you know how beautiful and visually stunning it can be.

“Tarsem sets an amazing scene and allows the actors to feel completely immersed in the world — we’ve walked on to the sets and they’re superb. The details of these sets are spectacular, and you know Tarsem has had a hand in every decision,” Evans said of the movie, which is aiming to hit theaters in 2011. “We can’t wait to start.”
