Isabel turns to singing! LucasLukas music project

My jaw has just dropped on the floor at this! It looks like Isabel has turned her talents to singing! Information and videos have popped up online in the last couple of days about Isabel joining forces with actor Lukas Haas to make a song and music video entitled ‘Made For You’. The official Facebook and YouTube pages describe the project as:

Lucas/Lukas is Lukas Haas + Isabel Lucas in their first musical collaboration, Made for You. Filmed and recorded in Lukas’ studio in LA. Directed by Carleton Ranney. Shot and Edited by Real Sprague and Destin Douglas.

Whether or not they’re officially calling themselves a proper band is unknown yet. Their Facebook page doesn’t list a record company yet.

What’s with Hollywood stars making good music? (And no, Gwyneth, I’m not talking about you.) Former child actor Lukas Haas (who was in Witness with Harrison Ford almost 20 years ago and most recently seen in Inception) has a new project called Lukas/Lucas with Aussie actor Isabel Lucas.

As far as we can tell, it’s not a real band (yet), but Haas plays drums and piano for a band called the Rogues (though we can’t find any evidence of it online). Watch the video of their first song, “Made for You,” after the jump.

New Video: Lucas/Lukas, ‘Made For You’

Actor Lukas Haas, who recently appeared in “Inception,” and actress Isabel Lucas, best known for her role as Alice in “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” have teamed up for a musical project — their new band Lucas/Lukas. The duo recorded a video for their song, “Made For You,” and we are totally in love with it.

The video is a montage of the actor/musicians recording “Made For You,” a dreamy indie/pop track, in their homemade studio. Lukas takes the piano, drums and vocals with Isabel on vocals and guitar. The “Made For You” video is an Urban Outfitters catalog come to life, from the Isabel’s vintage flowery dress to the slow-mo shots of the couple walking through a field. (And we totally mean that in the best, most Sophia Coppola way possible.) Sonically, “Made For You” reminds us a lot of Stars, with the long, climactic buildup and Isabel’s romantic voice.

Any bets on how long it took Lukas and Isabel to come up with the name Lucas/Lukas? We’re guessing they might have gone in a different direction if they were dealing with “Gertrude” or “Wilmur.”

Actors Lukas Haas And Isabel Lucas Unveil Music Video – Check It Out!

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Girlie Action Media & Marketing) Lukas Haas has been acting for over 20 years, starring alongside Harrison Ford in “Witness” when he was just 8 years old. Since then he has appeared dozens of films, including “Inception,” Woody Allen’s “Everyone Says I Love You” and Tim Burton’s “Mars Attacks!” and the upcoming “Red Riding Hood.” Lukas also plays drums and piano for a band called The Rogues, and has appeared in music videos for My Chemical Romance’s “Welcome to the Black Parade,” OutKast’s “Roses,” UGK’s “International Player’s Anthem (I Choose You),” Death Cab For Cutie’s “Cath…” and Jet’s “She’s a Genius.”

Isabel Lucas is an Australian actress who starred in “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”, HBO’s eight time Emmy winning series “The Pacific,” and “The Cove,” a film exposing brutal dolphin harvesting in Japan. In October 2007, Lucas was part of a group of thirty people from Surfers for Cetaceans took part in a protest against dolphin hunting in Taiji, Wakayama, Japan. The group paddled out on surfboards to the dolphins to attempt to stop the hunt, but they were forced to turn around after being intercepted by one of the fishing boats.
