Support Sea Shepherd
Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS) is an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization. Our mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world's oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species.
Sea Shepherd could not think of a more brave, passionate and dedicated activist and friend of the whales, than Isabel Lucas, also known for her role in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Isabel has stepped up for duty for the oceans numerous times, including raising international awareness by attempting to stop annual slaughter of dolphins in Taiji, Japan in 2007.
"I love art. I always loved creative art-all of those arty subjects at school like painting, sketching, anything like that. Also music - I love guitar and I've had singing lessons. I'm now learning to skateboard and I am learning some moves now. I have also never been surfing, but I want to.

Emile Hirsch has been added to a celebrity trek up Mount Kilimanjaro.
The 24-year-old actor joins hip-hop star Lupe Fiasco, Jessica Biel, Elizabeth Gore and Australian soap actress Isabel Lucas for the Summit On The Summit expedition beginning on Thursday.
The Milk star told The AP that the climb combines “an epic adventure with an educational process on the global water crisis”.
The journey is reportedly aiming to use star power to bring awareness to the need for clean water around the world. Fans can follow the climb online and donate as little as $1 to provide clean water to those who need it.
Hirsch added that he is ready for the 19,000ft challenge, saying: “Put this on the books: I’m making it to the top.”
Isabel arrives in Tanzania for her Mount Kilimanjaro climb tomorrow! Make sure you follow @SOTSK for more updates on the climb, and we will of course be providing coverage as well!
Our lovely Isabel attended a ‘pre-ascent’ event for the upcoming Summit on the Summit Mount Kilimanjaro climb last night. She looked gorgeous in a casual outfit with natural make-up and dark lips … and she’s returned to being a brunette!
I’ve added 45 photos from the event, including HQs. Thanks to Annika for a few of the photos <3
Procter & Gamble’s (NYSE: PG) PUR Water Filtration announces it is joining forces with some of the hottest names in the music and entertainment industries, and other cultural influencers to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise awareness about the need for clean drinking water in the developing world and funds for life-saving water programs. For years, PUR and its charity partner the Children’s Safe Drinking Water (CSDW) Program have worked together to make sure that children around the world have clean water to drink. It was because of this expertise that PUR was invited to join SUMMIT ON THE SUMMIT: Kilimanjaro which includes actors Jessica Biel and Isabel Lucas, and musician Kenna.
The PUR team was first approached to join SUMMIT ON THE SUMMIT: Kilimanjaro by creator and Grammy-nominated artist, Kenna. As a child in Ethiopia, Kenna’s father nearly lost his life after contracting a water-borne disease from drinking contaminated water. This motivated the singer to organize the upcoming SUMMIT ON THE SUMMIT: Kilimanjaro climb in the hopes of raising worldwide awareness about the critical need for clean drinking water.
“It only makes sense to partner with PUR Water Filtration brand for SUMMIT ON THE SUMMIT,” said Kenna. “PUR is a part of the solution both domestically and abroad. I am thankful to have such generous and focused partners for SUMMIT ON THE SUMMIT. Together we will bring awareness to the global clean water crisis and save lives.”
Kenna has enlisted a number of other celebrities to help shine the spotlight on this effort, scheduled to take place at the beginning of January 2010. Also joining the 19,340-foot mountain climb will be Grammy-winning hip-hop artist Lupe Fiasco and other cultural influencers and water educators, with additional climbers planning to sign on over the next few months. Dr. Greg Allgood, Founder and Director of the CSDW Program, will also be joining the climb as one of the SUMMIT ON THE SUMMIT team’s water experts. He’ll lend his vast expertise and educate the climbers about the global water crisis along the steep journey.
