Today I have added screencaps from Izzy’s most recent film release, Daybreakers, in which she plays Alison Bromley. I was fully intending to cap it myself, but then discovered that my lovely friend Maria could make me screencaps in a better quality, so she has capped the movie for us. I’ll still be renting the DVD myself to check for any extras featuring Miss Lucas, and I’ll do that within the next few weeks. As you can tell by the number of screencaps, it seems that Izzy’s role is very small in the movie! Please note, these screencaps contain major spoilers as well as what you might consider gory images. If you do not want to be spoiled, or if you don’t like blood, then do not view these screencaps! You have been warned Enjoy!!

Just a small update today, I’ve added 3 new stills from Daybreakers – Izzy looks gorgeous in the one in which she’s not about to be bitten (?!) and covered in blood lol! The movie is out on DVD in the US and UK now, and I will be making screencaps for us in the coming weeks. I also want to bring up something regarding this site. I am really dismayed to see another IL site reproducing content/ideas/text from not only this site, but some of my other fansites too. It really disappoints me to see my hard work endlessly copied by this person on their site. This person knows who they are, and while I have asked them to stop what they are doing, they are continuing to do it. It’s now got to the point with this other site that it is just so frustrating seeing things from this site reproduced there the next day. I would really like it to stop. I therefore decided it was time to post about this publicly. I never wanted to bring this issue up on this site – I wanted to keep this site free from this issue and I don’t want to annoy you with this problem that only concerns one of our many visitors. This is the first and hopefully last time I will be bringing this problem up here, and Isabel Lucas Online will remain 110% dedicated to giving you everything on Isabel and simply that, with no drama, no off-topic-ness, just Isabel. I hope that by making this post, people will become aware of the serious lack of netiquette this other site owner has, and this person will stop ripping off other sites. I just want to say again that posts like this will not be a frequent thing here! It only concerns one other person. To make up for this post that to 99% of our visitors is boring, I will try to make another Gallery update for you tomorrow • Daybreakers (2010) > Stills x3 more |

Length: 98 min Starring: Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe, Sam Neill, Claudia Karvan, Michael Dorman, Isabel Lucas Directed by Michael and Peter Sprierig Visit the movie’s Official Site! There is a war that has been waged for centuries longer than that between vampires and humans; I refer to Style vs. Substance. Truly great art neutralizes both fields, not letting one override the other. But great art is rare, more so in genre fiction. Daybreakers is a twist on vampire films that Michael and Peter Spierig spent years of their life developing, and it’s almost always evident. Every sequence and shot have been fully thought out, every character’s costume and make-up were painstakingly crafted and perfected, and the story is genuinely clever. Unfortunately, all the beauty onscreen can’t cover up the wrinkles in dialogue and character development. Only a doctor could do something like that. Perhaps Dr. Acula. The Movie: 3 1/2 out of 5 stars Daybreakers is set in a future where ordinary vampires have completely obliterated the human population, and surviving homo sapiens are forced to live and travel secretly. Pharmaceutical company Bromley Marks, run by greed-hound Charles Bromley (Sam Neill), has been “farming” humans for blood in gigantic Matrix-lite facilities, but their dwindling numbers mean the blood supply can’t possibly meet the population’s demand. Without a steady diet of blood, many vampires have begun devolving into feral creatures that resemble homeless people. Thus, the streets have come under heavily increased military presence, one that kidnaps humans while keeping the peace for the walking dead. Extreme care was taken by the Spierig brothers to make sure as much logic as possible is infused into the story by filling it with interesting details that many horrors take for granted. |
