With all the new interviews and Immortals features we’ve been getting, I thought it was time to update some of our content pages. And so I have updated the Trivia and Quotes pages, as well as our Filmography page for Immortals and Isabel’s other recent movies – The Wedding Party, Red Dawn, and The Loft. I’ll add pages for Knight of Cups and Isabel’s other rumoured upcoming films when they’re officially confirmed. Charity, Style and some fun new media and games are coming next
New reports today are saying Isabel has been cast in another movie, and this is another BIG one! Terrence Malick is a heavy-weight and very credible director and the same can be said for her co-stars. This is a really big land for Isabel, so a massive congrats to her! I’m really excited to hear more about this project … and to see what else Izzy has lined up.
Bale, Blanchett to star in two Terrence Malick pics
Christian Bale and Cate Blanchett are both set to star in two upcoming Terrence Malick films, both of which will be launched to buyers through Glen Basner’s FilmNation at the American Film Market this week.
”Lawless,” will topline Ryan Gosling, Bale, Blanchett, Rooney Mara (”The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo”) and Haley Bennett (”Marley and Me”).
Malick’s second pic, ”Knight of Cups,” will star Bale, Blanchett and Isabel Lucas (”Immortals,” ”Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”).
Both pics are currently in pre-production and will shoot back-to-back in 2012. Details of the two plots are being kept under wraps but both titles will be separate narratives.
Sarah Green and Nicolas Gonda will produce both pics. Both Gonda and Green produced a slew of Malick’s recent titles including ”The Tree of Life,” ”The New World” and the upcoming as-yet-untitled love story project from Malick toplining Ben Affleck, Rachel Adams, Javier Bardem and Rachel Weisz, for which FilmNation is also handling international sales.
Pic is currently in post and has already sold to a number of territories including Studiocanal in Blighty and Germany, Roadshow Films in Australia and New Zealand, VVS Films in Canada, Vertigo Films in Spain and Metropolitan Film in Gaul.
The announcement marks a continued relationship between FilmNation and Malick. Basner remarked that ”FilmNation couldn’t be happier to continue to act as Terrence’s international sales agency.”
Malick’s latest duo of pics will be repped domestically by CAA.
FilmNation is also handling international sales on Sean Penn’s ”The Comedian,” toplining Robert De Niro and Kristen Wiig and Jeff Nichols’ ”Mud” starring Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon.
Additionally, it is shopping Christian Bale starrer ”The Flowers of War,” a $90 million Chinese epic helmed by Zhang Yimou. Footage was unveiled to buyers in Toronto in September.
In Cannes earlier this year, FilmNation announced that it was fully financing its first pic, an untitled thriller from Paranormal Activity creator Oren Peli.

Whilst browsing Isabel’s IMDB profile, I noticed a new film listed under her Filmography. IMDB isn’t exactly known for it’s reliability or accuracy these days, so we’ll take Isabel’s rumoured involvement with a pinch of salt for now. Here are some details though:
Love Written in Blood is a drama/thriller/horror listed as being released in September 2012. Erik Magnusson is writing and directing, with Rhys Malone as a co-director, and Andres Heinz a co-writer. Aaron Johnson, Amanda Seyfried, and Xavier Samuel are listed as co-starring. The plot reads as:
The movie depicts a couple (portrayed by actors Aaron Johnson and Gabriel Liotta) in a love-hate relationship. The couple repeatedly fight, break things, steal, and make up again, with scenes flashing back to happier times in their relationship.
Filming is said to have started in England in the middle of July. We know Isabel was in Belgium filming Loft for several weeks last month, so maybe we’ll see her catching a flight across the Atlantic in the coming weeks, if this rumour is true.
See more on IMDB’s page for the movie.
We’ll keep you posted on Isabel’s involvement with this movie.
Even more exciting news for us this evening – Isabel is rumoured to be joining the cast of a new thriller movie, entitled The Loft! Let’s hope it pans out … we’ll keep you posted!
Anonymous Content has found the first of several leading ladies for its edgy thriller “Loft,” as Aussie actress Isabel Lucas is in negotiations to join the ensemble cast.
Patrick Wilson, James Marsden, Wentworth Miller and “Modern Family’s” Eric Stonestreet are set to star in Erik Van Looy’s English-language remake of his own 2008 Belgian pic.
Indie follows five married friends who share a loft where each of them bring their mistresses. When the body of an unknown woman is found in the loft, they begin to suspect one another of murder.
Lucas will play “Sarah,” a naive young beauty who unexpectedly comes into the lives of the five friends.
“A Nightmare on Elm St.” scribe Wesley Strick is adapting Bart De Pauw’s original screenplay. Anonymous Content’s Steve Golin, Paul Green, Matt DeRoss and Adam Shulman will produce along with original “Loft” producer Hilde DeLaere of Belgian banner Woestijnvis. Production is expected to begin later this spring.
Lucas, best known for her villainous turn in “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” recently appeared in HBO’s miniseries “The Pacific.” Thesp will soon be seen playing the Greek goddess Athena in Relativity Media’s “Immortals,” and also co-stars in MGM’s “Red Dawn” remake alongside Chris Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson. Lucas is set to be honored with the Female Star of Tomorrow award at tonight’s Young Hollywood Awards.
Lucas is repped by UTA and by Meissner Management in Australia.

Relativity Media announced today that Immortals will be the official title of its Greek mythology tale previously called War of Gods.
The highly anticipated Immortals follows the mythological tale of the young warrior Theseus, who leads his men into battle with the immortal Greek gods to defeat evil and the powerful elder gods of the Titans in order to save mankind. Tarsem Singh directs the film that began shooting in Montreal this week.
It was also announced that John Hurt and Isabel Lucas have joined Henry Cavill, Stephen Dorff, Luke Evans, Kellan Lutz, Joseph Morgan, Freida Pinto and Mickey Rourke in the cast. Hurt will portray the earthly manifestation of the god Zeus, who acts as a mentor and teacher to the young warrior Theseus (Cavill). Isabel Lucas was brought onto Immortals as Athena, the daughter of Zeus who finds her loyalty tested as the war between the gods and Titans looms.
Distributed by Universal Pictures, Immortals will be produced by 300 partners Gianni Nunnari of Hollywood Gang Productions, Mark Canton of Atmosphere Entertainment MM and Ryan Kavanaugh, CEO of Relativity Media. Jason Keller penned the most recent draft of the script. An earlier version was written by Christian Gudegast, based on an original screenplay by Charley and Vlas Parlapanides.
Hurt recently completed director Rowan Joffe’s Brighton Rock, opposite Helen Mirren. Last year, he was seen reprising his role as Quentin Crisp in An Englishman in New York, as well as appearing with Ray Winstone and Tom Wilkinson in 44 Inch Chest. The actor recently wrapped his role in the next installment of the Harry Potter franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I. Hurt is represented by John Crosby, ICM and Independent Talent.
Lucas recently starred in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Daybreakers. She will soon star in Red Dawn and recently wrapped production on the Australian films Kin and A Heartbeat Away. The actress is represented by UTA and Meissner Management.
Universal Pictures has set a November 11, 2011, release date for Immortals.

A couple of sites are mentioning that Isabel has been cast in the Greek-myth inspired Dawn Of War. As one of the confirmed cast has named her directly, her involvement seems quite likely, but as always, we’ll look out for official confirmation and any further news will of course be posted about here for you!
‘Clash Of The Titans’ Star Goes Greek Again With ‘Dawn Of War’
With “Clash of the Titans” landing in theaters Friday, we hopped on the phone with fast-rising British heartthrob Luke Evans, who called in from the Montreal set of the soon-to-shoot film “Dawn of War.” He was eager to talk about the next big Greek-myth-inspired blockbuster and reveal the two newest actors to join the cast.
“We have the very beautiful Isabel Lucas who is playing Athena, my daughter,” explained Evans, who stars in the film as Zeus. “She is stunning. And John Hurt plays me as an old man. I mean, does it get any better than that? That’s uber-cool!” he beamed. “In addition, we have Mickey Rourke, Stephen Dorff, Henry Cavill, Freida Pinto.”
The “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” hottie and respected “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” veteran are the latest in a long line of impressive stars to join the high-profile flick, which has flirted with various names (“God of War,” “War of the Gods”) but rarely been questioned in terms of its potential brilliance.

Isabel’s management company, Meissner Management, reports that Isabel has been cast as Erica in the re-make of Red Dawn. This re-make is to be directed by Dan Bradley, and stars Chris Hemsworth (Isabel’s friend/ex-costar/ex-boyfriend!), Josh Hutcherson, Josh Peck and Adrianne Palicki. IMDB has a release date set at 24th September 2010, but I haven’t seen any details on when and where filming will take place yet.
You can read more about the original film at Wikipedia or IMDB, and stay tuned here for further news on Izzy’s involvement in the new version!
Thanks so much to Ida for the heads-up on this!
Word is that hottie Isabel Lucas is hoping to snag a role in the film thats got Hollywood buzzing.
Isabel Lucas has emerged as a frontrunner in a list of impossibly gorgeous twentysomethings auditioning for director Sofia Coppola for roles in her new film Somewhere.
Sofia has an uncanny knack for discovering new talent – she cast the then barely known Scarlett Johansson in her 2003 Oscar-winning movie Lost in Translation. And Isabel, 24, is hoping a part in Somewhere could do the same for her profile. Industry insiders say the actress met Sofia last week and is keen to take part.
Somewhere, also written by Sofia, is about a hard-living hollywood actor who re-examines his life after a visit from his 11-year-old daughter. Stephen Dorff has been cast as the father and Elle Fanning as his daughter, with filming expected to begin in July. It’s a family affair, produced by Sofia’s father Francis Ford Coppola’s American Zoetrope film studios, and will mark the producing debut of her brother Roman.
Isabel, who starred for three years in Home and Away, quit the show in 2006 and has since been pursuing a career in Hollywood. She stars in the new Transformers sequel and has already become a gossip column favourite. After splitting with Entourage star Adrien Grenier in August 2006, the actress has been linked to her Transformers co-star Shia LaBeouf, 30 seconds to Mars rocker Jared Leto, and The Waiting City co-star Joel Edgerton, who she was spotted kissing in Byron Bay in January.
But she also has a close circle of Aussie expat friends in LA, including Megan Gale, former Home and Away actress Sharni Vinson and Teresa Palmer. One LA powerbroker says: “Every aspiring young actress wants a part in Sofia’s film but she seemed really taken with Isabel. She thinks Isabel has real screen presence.”
Move over Scarlett! This could be Isabel’s big break.
