Isabel is of Swiss origin on her mother’s side.

Isabel speaks Swiss German and German. She learnt Russian for her movie Kin, and wants to learn French.

She studied drama at the Victorian College of Arts, and the Queensland University of Technology.

Isabel loves animals, and on her family’s estate in North Queensland they have lots of animals, including birds, guinea pigs, horses, dogs and cats. Her Silky Terrier Maltese Cross dog is called Silky and her horse is named Tiki.

Has been involved in anti-whaling protests, and there is even a warrant out for her arrest in Japan.

Isabel was the passenger in Shia LaBeouf’s car when he had a highly publicised crash in July 2008. She escaped with only scratches and bruises, but he had a crushed hand that required surgery. The vehicle that hit them was doing 70mph and had run a red light.

Isabel can do Salsa, Club/Freestyle, jazz and belly dancing.

Isabel can tap dance.

She can play the guitar and sing.

Enjoys swimming, yoga and equestrian.

Isabel has undertaken combat and stunt training, and accent training.

Isabel and Adrien Grenier were voted one of InStyle’s “Greenest Hollywood Couples” in 2008.

Isabel remains friends with her Home & Away co-stars Indiana Evans, Sharni Vinson, Jason Smith and Chris Hemsworth.

Is good friends with Hannah Fraser. Is also friends with Megan Gale and Teresa Palmer.

It is commonly thought that Isabel is best friends with Elissa Sursara, but in a 2009 interview with Examiner.com, Isabel said that they have never even met!

Friends with Emile Hirsch. She introduced him to the Summit On The Summit Kilimanjaro climb project in 2009.

Is very good friends with the musician Kenna, and he considers her practically family.

Her favorite food and drink are artichokes, spaghetti bolognaise, and mineral water.

Her favorite color is ocean-blue.

She used to own a horse as a child and loves riding. She’s been riding for over 10 years, and has even competed in dressage and show jumping.

Isabel has been on the cover of numerous magazine in Australia, including Total Girl, Crème, TV Week, Girlfriend, TV Guide, Dolly, and Girl Power. Was featured in the 2007 February edition of the Australian girl’s magazine Disney Girl.

Appeared in an American television commercial for Crest toothpaste.

Calls herself a “wild bush child”!

Rumoured to have dated Jared Leto and Zach Braff.

Had dated Chris Hemsworth, Adrien Grenier and George Byrne.

Isabel is a vegetarian/vegan – she says that she doesn’t drink milk but that she does eat eggs. She supplements with vitamins, minerals, iron, wheatgrass shots and nuts.

Doesn’t like gyms – prefers to be outside “with nature and wind”.

Wanted to be a vet she was a child. Also considered being a circus-rider, gypsy, singer and teacher!

Says that she doesn’t keep up with trends and fashion, and doesn’t like shopping centres. She prefers to shop at markets.

Isabel is right-handed.

When she was younger Isabel wanted to be a gypsy, a circus rider, a singer, a vet, or a teacher. Has always wanted to save animals.

Her first screen kiss was with Daniel Collopy (who played Josh West in Home & Away).

Says she writes something on herself each day, “with a word I pull out of a basket my roommate has. Just as a reminder.” Although sometimes, she admits, she just writes things she needs to remember to buy at the store!

Isabel is known for being a big animal lover, but she’s not so keen on spiders! She says that she leaves them alone and they leave her alone!

If she could be one other person for a day it would be the Dalai Lama, so she could “feel what it’s like to hold so much wisdom.”

If she wasn’t human, Isabel would like to be a bird or a whale.
