The Immortals Q&A panel at WonderCon has now taken place, and while I haven’t found any proper, good quality photos yet, those in attendance at the panel itself have been tweeting some photos! Below is the best photo I’ve found on Twitter so far, and it was taken by the user @DragonJewel. No doubt lots of photos will pop up in the coming hours, so check back here tomorrow for full coverage!
Twitter is also abuzz with reactions to the very first trailer for the film that was shown during the panel, and it’s looking good! The reactions seems to be VERY positive so far. I’ve retweeted a number of those tweets on our Twitter account, so browse through them there, and of course you can search “Immortals” yourself on Twitter to see more.
I expect the trailer will be posted online very soon, so again, check back here in a few hours for that! I’m so excited for this film now, I think it’s going to be BIG for Isabel…

An ‘extended version’ of the “Made For You” music video has recently been posted on YouTube. I haven’t watched it properly yet so can’t tell you how ‘extended’ it is or if there’s anything different in yet, but it seems pretty much the same to me. Either way, here it is:
As expected, Izzy is at WonderCon this weekend to promote Immortals, and yesterday she and some of her co-stars plus their director, posed for the cameras in front of the newly unveiled character posters (see them in the update below this one)! Isabel looked pretty in a long black dress that was netted at the bottom, with her hair left natural and down. Alongside her were co-stars Luke Evans and Henry Cavill, and their director Tarsem Singh.
10 photos have been added to the Gallery, most of which are in HQ.
The cast will unveil the first footage from the film at the event today, so check back later for photos – and hopefully a video of the footage! I can’t wait to see more from this film.
EDIT: NerdReactor.com have posted some more photos from yesterday’s event, which you can view at their site. They look like their own personal photos, so I won’t be adding them to our Gallery just yet. I’ve also come across a few tidbits about today’s upcoming panel, so scroll further down this post to read them.
• WonderCon – Day 1 x10
Ahead of the premiere of the first footage from the film today at WonderCon, the first posters for Immortals have just been released. They were debuted yesterday at WonderCon, and have since been released online. There are 5 posters, each of a different character, and excitingly, this includes one of Isabel as Athena! The posters are stunning, and make me even more excited to see the film in 7 months time!
Check out the Athena poster in high quality in our Gallery, and visit RopeOfSilicon.com to see the other 4 character posters. Below is the synopsis for the film, and an interesting comment from a writer at slashfilm.com.
As a power-mad king razes ancient Greece in search of a legendary weapon, a heroic young villager rises up against him in a thrilling quest as timeless as it is powerful.
The brutal and bloodthirsty King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) and his murderous Heraklion army are rampaging across Greece in search of the long lost Bow of Epirus. With the invincible Bow, the king will be able to overthrow the Gods of Olympus and become the undisputed master of his world. With ruthless efficiency, Hyperion and his legions destroy everything in their wake, and it seems nothing will stop the evil king’s mission.
As village after village is obliterated, a stonemason named Theseus (Henry Cavill) vows to avenge the death of his mother in one of Hyperion’s raids. When Theseus meets the Sybelline Oracle, Phaedra (Freida Pinto), her disturbing visions of the young man’s future convince her that he is the key to stopping the destruction. With her help, Theseus assembles a small band of followers and embraces his destiny in a final desperate battle for the future of humanity.
Directed by Tarsem Singh and produced by 300’s Mark Canton and Zombieland’s Ryan Kavanaugh, Immortals hits the big screen November 11th!
There are five new character posters for Tarsem‘s Immortals, which tells a very Clash of the Titans-style story. These images dramatically play up the sort of imagery that became the accepted mainstream way of envisioning burly ancient warriors thanks to 300, but if you look at the actual stills for the film you’ll see the style is a lot more restrained. Tarsem’s strength has always been his visual sense — even when he was egregiously borrowing from other artists, so I’m hoping these posters are merely a ploy to capture the attention of an audience the studio thinks is attuned to 300.
• Immortals (2011) > Posters & Artwork x1

Izzy was snapped out having lunch with friends in Loz Feliz on Thursday, and I’ve added photos to the Gallery! She looks so pretty in a little blue and purple outfit … and her pink smoothie looks yummy too! I love the photos of her laughing, she seems to be in a really good mood!
Relativity Media and graphic novel publisher Archaia Entertainment, LLC have formed a publishing partnership to produce and publish a hardcover graphic novel anthology based upon Relativity’s upcoming epic motion picture Immortals, starring Henry Cavill (Superman: Man of Steel), Luke Evans (Robin Hood), Kellan Lutz (Twillight), Isabel Lucas (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen), Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire), and Mickey Rourke (Iron Man 2).
Archaia will release the Immortals graphic novel in September, serving as a precursor to the 3-D motion picture, which releases worldwide on November 11, 2011. The graphic novel will expand upon the film’s key characters and events through a series of original tales written and illustrated by some of the top names in comics, including David Mack (Kabuki), Ron Marz (Witchblade), Dennis Calero (Dark Tower) and Ben Templesmith (30 Days of Night). The graphic novel will be published through Archaia’s Black Label division, a publishing pipeline dedicated to working alongside creative professionals within the entertainment industry eager to launch and expand their brands in the publishing world.
“We could not be more proud to form our creative partnership with Archaia, a publisher that has successfully earned industry-wide acclaim for its commitment to quality and fans of genre entertainment. Archaia possesses all of the creative resources required to perfectly capture the film’s artistic and narrative essence,” said artistic and narrative essence,” said Peter Adee, President, Theatrical Marketing &Distribution, Relativity Media .
The Sydney Morning Herald have published a new interview with Isabel, in which she talks about the usual things, but as always it’s a very interesting read. She mentions Red Dawn, why she wanted to do A Heartbeat Away, travelling, who she wants to work with in the future and more. The interview has been added to our Press page.
Former Home and Away star Isabel Lucas has cracked Hollywood. Ed Gibbs finds her at odds with her ditzy reputation.
Her big break in the US may have been stymied by a film studio in free-fall but former soap star and notorious environmental activist Isabel Lucas now appears set for well-earned breakout success in 2011.
Having survived the collapse of MGM (best known as the long-time home to James Bond’s 007 licence), Lucas’s follow-up to 2009′s big-screen debut, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, is Red Dawn , which is firmly back on track for its blockbuster release. And, as if to make up for lost time, there’s a second major film due out as well.
In addition to the long-delayed remake of the 1980s cult hit – in which Lucas stars opposite fellow Melburnian Chris Hemsworth – audiences will also see the starlet alongside A-listers Mickey Rourke, Stephen Dorff and John Hurt in the Greek mythology drama Immortals. The two films are polar opposites for the 26-year-old, who was famously plucked from acting college when she was 17 and groomed for her Australian soap debut in 2002.
“I’ve heard it’s amazing but I haven’t seen the finished product yet,” she says of Red Dawn. “We were doing boot camps and martial-arts training, learning to use different weaponry in the cold Detroit winter. It’s classic action. When you’re an actor, when opportunities come up, you go with the flow. You jump.”

The Whaleman Foundation are running an auction on Ebay for fans to bid to win the chance to attend the premiere of Immortals later this year and meet Isabel! The auction starts at $1,000, so sadly the auction is not for everyone! The winner will be Isabel’s guest at the Los Angeles premiere of Immortals, set to be held on November 11th 2011, and they will also receive a personal photo with Isabel, and be allowed to ask her to sign one small item. 100% of proceeds goes to The Whaleman Foundation.
We all know Isabel’s passion and support for The Whaleman Foundation, and it’s wonderful to see her do another auction with them.
Good luck to anyone who places a bid!
I’ve some super-pretty new candids of Izzy out and about with friends on Monday in Hollywood. I love her cute braids, her bright red lips, and her outfit!
